Event Production - INTERN

We are a venture-funded technology and new media company. We have assembled an amazing team of passionate, high-energy and focused rock-stars who cultivate our community and advance our strategic direction and we are looking for new people to help us continue to grow. Blavity is changing the landscape of media representation by building the world’s largest digital community for Millennials of Color. Blavity was founded in 2014 around a simple idea: Enable Millennials of Color to tell their own stories.

Today, we average 1.5 Million monthly unique visitors, generate 3-5 Million monthly social impressions, and distribute our message across all of the major social media platforms. We are based in Downtown LA with team members working across the world. Our signature events include thousands of attendees from across the country.


If you have an interest in the  event industry, this will be the role for you!


In this role you will:

  • Conduct research on company and brand initiatives
  • Support the client account management team
  • Assist with activations and fulfillment through administrative organization
  • Coordinate with event production and planning teams

  • Have an interest in branding/marketing, business, events, research
  • Be savvy in social media, current events, and pop culture
  • Be meticulous with a keen attention to detail; highly organized
  • Work well within a team and independently on projects
  • Have a self-starter attitude  with the ability to multitask
  • Be agile in a demanding environment; solve problems quickly and accurately
  • Available at our DTLA office, twice a week


Some of what you will learn:

  • The logistics behind planning and executing activations
  • How to organize and implement information and required processes
  • How to effectively solve problems on the fly and under pressure
  • How to plan, document, arrange and produce large-scale events

Applicants are required to be a currently-enrolled college or university student working towards a degree in one or more of the following areas: Business, Marketing, Advertising, Management, Production/Film, Communications/PR, Finance, Accounting, or MIS. Other majors will not be considered.
