Job Summary:

Blavity Inc. seeks a top-performing Director of Brand Partnerships to lead a sales pod to consultatively sell Blavity services to advertisers and partners. This is a sales leadership role with a sales incentive plan. Frequently sold products include integrated marketing programs and branded content across desktop, mobile, video, social media, and live events. You will manage a team of Business Development Managers to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets, provide direction for sales and product strategies, and develop strategic relationships with key client accounts.

This role will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead a team of 3-5 Blavity Business Development Managers to achieve annual and quarterly sales revenue goals across digital and experiential sales products 
    • Maintain a cadence of weekly 1:1 and team sales meeting  
    • Facilitate key introductions, and appropriately distribute inbound leads to Sales team  
  • Personally manage your own book of business for strategic accounts from new relationships with key brands and agencies
  • Prepare monthly sales reports, forecast and manage pipeline using Salesforce  tools, and communicate clear reporting to senior management and executives
  • Act as a leader across entire sales cycle, including demand generation, qualification, opportunity management, and contract closure
  • Meet or exceed team revenue goals on quarterly basis across web, mobile, video, content, social media, and live events

Qualifications:

  • Education: B.A
  • Required Experience
    • 6+ years of experience in media business development
    • 3+ years of experience managing and coaching mid-level employees
    • Deep experience driving and representing a digital-first or diversified media company 
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Demonstrated ability to grow revenue while putting audience, story-telling and community first 
  • Technologies: Fluent in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Salesforce, Asana, and/or comparable project management suite
  • Additional Qualifications:
    • Excellent communication skills, able to take complex information and succinctly and effectively communicate both in verbal and written formats 
    • Demonstrated ability to set, manage, and track against a set of diverse, strategic KPIs 
    • Strong analytical mind with demonstrated experience tracking core business metrics and driving decisions based on that data 
    • A healthy appreciation of GIFs and Black culture

Details: 

  • This is a fully remote role, U.S.- based role. Occasional travel may be required. 
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Candidates must be available to work 50% in alignment with the Central Time Zone. 
  • The annual salary range for this role is $130,000 - $145,000.
