What you’ll do

Blavity, Inc. is seeking a Contract Content Marketer to source and create engaging, impactul social media posts and associated copy for client campaigns across Blavity Inc. properties. The Blavity Contract Content Marketer will be responsible for coordinating with the creative and video teams to source assets, as well as the creative services manager to ensure all client and brand requirements are met. The marketer is also responsible for meeting all internal and client deadlines and quality requirements. 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Content Development

  • Develop and source content for social media and newsletter platforms.
  • Ensure content meets established client requirements and brand safety guidelines.
  • Ensure content meets Blavity brand guidelines and requirements, and is consistent with our voice, style and tone.
  • Create content to support SEO optimization goals.
  • Execute the Blavity marketing review process prior to finalizing and posting content. 
  • Work with the marketing managers and editors to execute edits and changes quickly. 

Content Execution 

  • Manage Blavity’s posting schedule across all social platforms.
  • Post all required content according to the agreed upon schedule.
  • Collect and report engagement and performance data of Blavity social media posts and newsletters, as requested.

Team Coordination

  • Submit asset requests to the creative and video teams for social and newsletter platforms, as needed.
  • Coordinate with the editorial team as needed to complete content marketing responsibilities.
  • Submit cross-promotion requests to other Blavity content marketers, as needed.
  • Cross-promote content from other Blavity brands, as requested.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you have

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar digital content marketing role, preferably experience with branded marketing and/or branded copywriting
  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience
  • Experience creating content across social media platforms
  • Editorial and creative mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it
  • Ability to collect and understand marketing performance data
  • Organized and detail-oriented project management style
  • The ability to maintain high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines
